SMILLIE, Ruth Allerton Bliss, 91, formerly of Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, died June 26, 2009, in New Haven Conn. Her memorial service will be Friday, November 27, 2009, at 3 PM, at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, 1535 Santa Barbara St, in Santa Barbara. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the scholarship fund for the Arrowbears Music camp: Arrowbears Music Associates, PO Box 1294, Lakewood, CA 90714-1294.
